What Does Africa All Access Do?

A.

Africa All Access is an innovative basketball clinic providing world class instruction led by David West of the Golden State Warriors and his NBA friends. A “Solutions Hub” is also part of the clinic – this is a showcase addressing sustainability and climate change and includes renewable energy products, a health and wellness pavilion and much more.

Q?

Who started Africa All Access?

A.

Jerome Ringo and Avery Hong, co-founders of Zoetic Energy worked closely with their partner David West on creating a unique program that would engage the young people in Africa across a myriad of topics – not just athletics. With the team’s background in conservation, environmentalism, renewable energy it made sense to include that in the clinic’s offering. With the core idea in place, the founders engaged Dr. Arikana Chihombori Quao, the Ambassador for The African Union – US Mission. Her passion and focus on youth development have been invaluable during the design phase. The goal is to hold the initial clinic in Ghana as a pilot with broad expansion throughout Africa in 2018.

Q?

Who benefits from Africa All Access?

A.

The young basketball players that attend will receive top level instruction from professional players. The interaction is personal as the players share their tales of their upbringing and how they developed such passion for the game of basketball. In addition, through the clinic’s Solutions Hub, other community members in attendance can learn about and experience innovative ideas and products. The goal is to foster discussions and to identify pathways to improvement in their communities.  We also partner with health care organizations to provide general health screenings during the clinics.
